Oxford Plaza and David Brower Center
ECB and affordable housing developer, Resources for Community Development (RCD),
were selected by the city of Berkeley to develop 97 residential units and a 60,000 square-foot center for environmental organizations on a key city-owned site adjacent to the UC Berkeley Campus.
Named in honor of the first executive director of the Sierra Club, The David Brower
Center will include office facilities for environmental organizations, meeting space and an auditorium for educational programs and events. The building will be built to achieve a Platinum LEEDS certification for environmentally responsible design.
The housing will include 97 affordable units for low-income families on five floors over ground floor commercial space and parking. The entire development will be constructed over an
underground public parking garage.
