Nate joined ECB in 2006, and has more than 12 years experience in property management and construction. His experience includes commercial property management,
contracts administration, residential and light commercial construction and construction personnel staffing.
Nate serves as the Broker-Officer for ECB Management Services, Inc., the property management and real estate services firm which is a division of Equity Community
Builders. He is charged with its growth, development, leasing, and property management activities. He also directly manages
the Historic Central Building in downtown
Oakland where he oversees all property management functions including building maintenance, tenant and capital improvements, leasing and tenant retention activities.
In his career, Nate has experience at several commercial properties including the San Francisco Wholesale Produce Market and with Shorenstein Realty Services in
which he managed properties in San Francisco, Santa Clara and Brisbane. In addition he was a national contracts administrator for their corporate property management group.
Nate is a native of West Texas, but relocated to the Bay Area after serving two years in the Peace Corps as construction supervisor in Gabon, Africa. While serving he
learned to speak French, taught construction skills and built primary schools and teacher housing in the rural villages of Akelé, Bemboudié and Imeno Mbila. He earned his
B.A. from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 1992 and holds the Real Property Administration designation (RPA) from the BOMI Institute and a California Real
Estate Broker License.
